EGPD does its best to serve the community. I see some of you with low ratings stating unreasonable explanations why you rated EGPD so low. "Loud music. Scavenging through recycling bins"? First of all, those aren't even crimes. And resources must be allocated where it's most needed. Loud music is a disturbance, but EGPD can only do so much. Their officers will flat out lie at the expense of your livelihood when they have no evidence of fault in a car accident. This particular officer was not at the scene and received testimony from both parties in the accident, but decided to place blame on one party with no evidence because the driver was an Asian lady. You simply cannot conclude in your report that one party is at fault when you have no evidence and did not witness the accident. This has got to be one of the worst police departments I have ever dealt with being a resident in Elk Grove for five years. Officers are usually non-responsive to community calls and if they do respond, it's hours after the initial call was made. What is the point in having a police department at all? I live near Oasis park and at times, the music is unreasonably LOUD and at other times, the park is fast becoming a place where drug activity is becoming an issue too.
