I take a computer in for repair. I told the employee I wanted an estimate before I would authorize work. I was prepared to buy a new laptop if necessary because this laptop was about 3 years old. They called me about a week later to tell me the repair would cost $80. Great! I give them authorization to complete the work. They call me about 10 days later to tell me it was ready for pick up.
