great local pizza place - focused menu - beer and wine
Good food, if you can wait for it. I've been here twice, once arriving at 5:20 and once at 5:45. I ordered pizza and pasta each time. The wait for the pizza was *over an hour* each time, from the time I ordered. That's completely unreasonable. Pasta was about 25 minutes. It's good when it comes out, but if you or your party are anywhere near hungry, it's brutal. Unless it has to be this place, go somewhere else nearby, there are plenty of options.
I came to Pazzo because it was rated highly among San Carlos restaurants. I arrived at maybe 6:20 PM, albeit a busy time. My waiter promptly brought me a nice IPA but I never saw him again. Beer #2 I had to go in to the bar to retrieve. Beer #3 I had to snag a server other than mine. I had ordered a Greek salad. I'd rate it 3/5---savory but kinda slimy. Not terribly good. My friend recommended this place for my 60th birthday dinner and it didn't dissapoint. All the food was excellent and the pizza was some of the best I have had in years. Staff was friendly and prompt. A great place.
