We waited over an hour from when we ordered for our pizza, despite being told it would only take around 30min. During that time, our server only checked in on us once around the hour mark. When the pizza came, it was only ok, and about a third of the crust was burnt. Dressing on the beet salad was overly citrusy. Arancini was good, though the sauce it came with was a little strange, maybe would have preferred a tomato based sauce.
Best Italian food in San Carlos. Spasso is more of an olive garden, this place has pizza pasta and salads that are better than most places on Laurel Street. Weekends are packed, be prepared to wait, but it's worth it!
This might have been the best pizza I've ever had. The crust was thin but still sturdy (typical of New Haven style pizza). It was perfectly done with the right amount of sauce and cheese. The little cups of pepperoni were just right. Servers were all very attentive and helpful. A great experience. My second visit was equally wonderful.
