I took my Cavoodle dog to see Dr Jon to get desexed in March 2026. She ended up in SASH having emergency surgery that night as she was bleeding internally as a result of complications from the surgery. The surgeon had to put a clip on her left pedicile to stop the bleeding and additional suture. She had a large blood clot and lost about 25% of her total blood into here abdomen. We lost our sweet little guinea pig forever on August 29. Our first visit with this vet was on July 7, when we noticed his back right leg couldn’t move properly. We had called ahead to check their experience and trusted them with his care, although it was a little harsh to hear the receptionist say, “Oh, it’s a very old one,” when she heard he was 5 and a half years old. We loved taking our cat to the Payneham Veterinary Centre, especially in the early years. Dr. Kylie was amazing—she had cared for our girl when she was still at the shelter, so it felt special to continue with her after we adopted our cat at 13 years old. Our beautiful girl lived with us until almost 20, and throughout that time the nursing staff were consistently kind, friendly, and compassionate. We always appreciated their care and support. As someone who runs a small business, reading these bad reviews, you can tell these clients were obnoxious Karens with unreasonable expectations . Take their complaints with a grain of salt. Eg the person complaining about needing the consult for thyroid medication- yes ,it is a legal requirement every 6 months ,and that's not the vet's fault . " I will never come back again ".
