We have several Payne SCR controllers on our heat treating furnaces, ranging from 80 amp to 450 amp units. Some have been in service since the early 60's. They are incredibly reliable and easy to work on. We've been having problems with furnace temperature overshoot/undershoot for a long time, causing batch production delays, and I found that the SCR controllers weren't configured properly for the replacement temperature controllers that were installed years ago.
