Desk closed, deferring people to Avis desk (which was less than half staffed). In line for 2 hrs. Nobody answers the local phone, sends to national who has no way of communicating with the local desk. Oh and then they didn't have the car i reserved. Insanely poor service.
I was gonna say good things about this rental company, even though the reviews were not that great. My experience was easy during pick up, however, when I checked to see if my deposit of $250 was returned, which it wasn’t. I never received an itemized receipt. The process to pick up your rental needs serious improvement. One line for Avis and Payless and only one person helping the main line is absolutely ridiculous. This is a very busy rental location with no staff. Standing in line for one hour is unacceptable.
Waited in line for 3 hours with only 6 people in front of me. After a long flight this is not acceptable. Only 1 person checking people in, unless preferred Avis customers were not in line. I will never rent from Avis or Payless again. Horrible customer service. Plus, no where to sit except on floor or on suitcase.
HORRIBLE! I reserved a car earlier today, arrive at the airport with belongings to then be told by a disgruntled bored employee that there are no cars available. I said what do you mean there are no cars available, I have a reservation, it was confirmed, he repeats there are no cars. I said are you going to at least cancel my reservation because it shows active so I’m not showed and he says it’s been canceled - it was never canceled.
