I spent an hour trying to reach the terminal by phone only to be hung up on. I finally reached a corporate customer service rep who could not answer my questions. When I picked up the van, the interior was filthy. Then, an hour and a half into a 14-hour drive, the change oil light came on. I tried calling customer service to fi d out what they wanted us to do and was hung up on and then left a voicemail. This is a 10-day rental and already having these issues. Will not rent here again.

Tried calling twice on Sunday March 8th to have my phone call go unanswered. I’ll be using someone else.

This place is a ripoff! They don’t care about the customer and will not rectify or take owner ship of their crappy vehicles. I got to Des Moines from NY in the middle of winter. We left with the vehicle got down the road and window won’t roll up. We call back they tell us to come back they’ll exchange the vehicle. We drove all the way back there on our 2 day family emergency trip to he told they don’t have anything. one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. They're currently trying to charge me for an extra day despite having returned the car before the agreed-upon return time. Payless' general customer service line is worse than useless, their online portal is even worse than that. I had to call the airport authority hoping they would talk to the local manager. Still waiting for some sort of resolution to the extra $188 they're trying to charge me.
