TERRIBLE...if I could give them less than a one star I would. I tried to call Wichita KS location direct to make changes; called 40 plus times...no answer. when I got their in person, this was a quiet place and reps were sitting with their cell phones appeared with nothing to do. They told me you could have dialed the direct line. I told them "I did and no one is answering". This is the first and last time I will ever use 'payless car rental'. Do not rent here, beware and avoid at all costs. Little man behind the counter wont honor your reservation. Use turo or some other service, avoid avoid avoid.

I reserved a Van January 19th for March 16th. They informed me less than 24 hours that they rented out my vehicle to a walk-in customer. Sadly they were unable to rectify their mess up because there was no other family sized vehicles available. Of course it’s Spring Break and the prices are through the roof for last minute car rentals.

Be aware and avoid this place they will push you to buy their insurance no matter if you are covered by your own insurance, credit card insurance, or booking agency insurance. They won't give you the car even if you paid it ahead unless you pay an insurance that cost more than $30 per day.

I booked a car rental the same day through a 3rd party. I called Payless after booking to confirm the car would be available when I landed the same day and they confirmed that the car was available for me after paying more than $400 to reserve the car. Once I arrived, Payless stated that there was no car available to rent. Three days later still no refund. Please save yourself the time and use another company.
