Took my car here when I was broke, desperate, and new in town. The owner and mechanics were friendly and warm and gave me a great price on my repair. My car never had an issue after that! Felt comfortable taking my car to smog with them and would have taken it back for any other issue. I am a brown woman, so I'm shocked to hear someone had a racist experience- I'm fortunate to not have experienced such treatment whatsoever. I felt right at home there and would definitely return again.
Stay away from this budiness. Had daughter take her Jeep in to fix valve cover oil leak and they left off vacuum lines and then tried to get her to come back in and pay to have them reconnected. Plus they spilled oil on the exhaust and didn't clean it up so my daughter thought there was a serious issue with her vehicle just a couple miles after leaving because of all the smoke coming from the engine compartment. Racists!!!!! THe owner is old and rachety and wasn't blatant about his racism. Purposely got the order wrong and refused to listen to me. Worst customer service I have ever had in my entire life. Gives new meaning to the slang 'ratchet'. I will tell everybody I can possibly think of about how rude he is. I can't believe this kind of person can stay in business as long as he has. Awesome Four Wheel Drive Shop, the way they used to be! Bill, and all the folks there are extremely helpful and knowledgable. Brought my driveshaft in to have the U-Joints replaced without an appointment, and it was done the same day. They also sell tons of cool aftermarket stuff. Highly recommend them!
EXCELLENT! My truck was running like crap and it wouldn't pass smog. They looked at it and told me it was probably my PCV valve. I bought the valve from them cheaper than I could find on the internet, put it in, and They were EXACTLY right! I took my truck for a spin and it ran like new. It was a huge relief. The 'check engine' light clicked off and it passed smog. I was in such a good mood after my experience with Payless. I have so much confidence in them I recommend them to everyone.
Finally writing a review for these guys! At the time (end of the summer), I'd been going to a different well-priced mechanic for things like oil changes, tune-ups etc. So far, my 11+ year old Trailblazer hasn't had any serious issues or needed any expensive upkeep other than maintenance. These guys are soo nice and its why I try to keep it local. They fit me in last minute, when I got a call for someone to buy my truck. It didn't pass smog, so they helped me figure out the problem, honestly the whole thing only took 2 hours and I got to sell my truck that night. Brought my 1972 C10 Suburban in to get a rear disc brake conversion. Owner Bill took it upon himself to make sure it was done right and safe. His work was absolutely beautiful and not one single flaw! Ready to hit the mountains now!
