Horrendous experience. Riddled with hidden fees and "gotchas", and their support staff has been unpleasant to say the least. Switching payroll providers and looking forward to never dealing with these people again. For anyone considering doing business with them. Be extremely cautious of anything the sales team promises you. It's very likely they can't deliver on any of it. Also, all of the spam calls from their addon teams are outrageous. They constantly want to sell you something.
I've been with Paychex for over 20 years and they were great. The past 3 months have been a nightmare. And I can't even get a supervisor to respond so that the payroll and taxes will be correct for the year. BUT, they seem to be investing more in increasing their services provide but letting their core function fail. Sadly, I'm moving on.
Paychex is circling the drain. I have been with them since 1999, but today is my last day as a paychex client. They have been terrible this year, and it is not just pandemic related. Their reps don't know how to process a simple payroll for 16 employees. My office manager has to wait on hold for over 2 hours and then they either hang up on her, or they cannot process payroll and she needs to wait for a supervisor to call her back (who never calls back BTW).
