Awesome time, Rick aka Raw is an old school prospector who spent the entire day, we never felt rushed, to teach us how to view the landscape, take a test pan and stockpile and sluice pay dirt. We also spent time rock hounding, he had a lot of info to share. Well worth the money for the experience. Raw and his constant companion Kiddie looked after us like we were family. We have been coming to Arizona for 16 years straight and this is one of thee best hidden gems the state has to offer. Raw the owner / prospector of Paystreak is extremely knowledgeable in what he does and has great stories to tell as you pan for your gold. He is also great interacting with the kids making it fun for them. We truly enjoyed the experience of panning and spending time with Raw.
I can honestly say after a day excursion with Rick, I learned the basics needed to prospect and know a place to prospect. Anyone wondering if it's worth it, it is. Had a great time my brother is visiting from Oregon and this was a great day trip. Found probably around $20-$30 in gold, but the knowledge I gained from rick is priceless, highly recommend it.
Had a great morning panning. We do a lot of it at home in the wilds but this was very fun. Relaxing 2 hours and enjoyed learning new tips on panning from Rick. Well worth every dollar and time to do it. The info on how they do dry panning was great as it was so different than how we pan in Alaska.
Rick taught this old Alaskan prospector some new tricks. What an authentic experience and setting. The company was a good and so was the gold.
