Take it from someone who used to be an insider here and be really careful if you decide to purchase furniture from them. They do not screen their delivery drivers - half the time they don't even check to see if the driver has a license, and they probably don't have his name on file. They rip people off every single day. I promise you, it is not worth getting a good deal. I have seen them lie and cheat customers on a daily basis. Be very wary. Pay-Less Furniture is boss. Their prices are stupid low. Wonderful service, and a great staff.
The customer service at Pay less is great. He helped me decide on a mattress. It was a great deal and I am very happy with it.
I made a purchase for a delivery of an item that was never received. I bought 900 dollars of furniture from payless furniture and the delivery never arrived. When I called to question why, I was told the item I paid for did not exist. Despite it being on my ticket, they were not going to send me my items. Payless furniture has great low prices but that comes with VERY low customer service. They are not very eager to help anyone unless you approach them and then they take FOREVER to go get the items you pay for. Way too much standing around and cellphone use. Really wish Lawrence had another reasonable furniture store.
My husband and I have been looking for a pillow top mattress. We bought one at Payless. The other 2 stores we shopped supposedly had big sales on, but Payless had the best price - and their mattress was not only cheaper, but plusher and beefier, too.
Im a returning Customer Payless has a great layaway program. They gave me a year to pay it off.
I was looking at a sofa at a national chain in Lawrence and asked the salesman when it was going on sale. He said it was already half price. What a joke! When I went to Payless Furniture their every day price was half of that!
My advice: Shop Payless Furniture in Lawrence. As a rule they have better deals.
