Beautiful rooms and very comfortable beds. Burra is also a great town. Would love to stay longer.
Copper miners occupied these historic cottages at Burra when the copper boom was in full swing in the 1800s. They are solidly built and have stood the test of time. There has been significant but sensitive modernisation of the cottages to make them very comfortable. While the original wood fireplaces used for cooking and warming the cottage are no longer operating - replaced by modern reverse cycle air conditioning. Modern kitchens have been installed. Wonderful little cottage in the heart of Burra. Exceptionally clean room with pretty much everything you need. The bed was comfortable and the heater worked well. Would have enjoyed a fan in the bedroom and fresh milk instead of UHT but they're minor issues. Thank you for a lovely stay!
