When the ownership of Best Buy Drugs changed hands a few years ago, becoming PAX 2 Pharmacy, Sierra Madre faced a real problem. It’s a small town and set in our ways. The community is admirably resistant to chain stores (the one survivor can be found dispensing charred, overpriced coffee worldwide), and if PAX had not decided to move here we may instead have had one of the indistinguishable chain drug outlets. They help me get my moms medications and the pharmacist is helpful.
Great local pharmacy. Way better experience than the typical chain pharmacy (people working there know you, very rarely need to wait to be helped). The hours aren’t as extensive as a chain but I think it’s worth it to support an independent pharmacy.
