Dr. Stancel & his staff are awesome! I recently just adopted a bearded dragon and bring my other 3 here as well, and every time get great service! Maria and Dawn are awesome in the front and always make you feel welcome. My new bearded dragon has head tremors and some other stuff going on and I called this morning when they opened and they got him in same day for a sick appt! I really appreciate the care and compassion from everyone here, it truly is above and beyond. Looking for a vet for your pet can be a bit scary & I feel like I got really lucky to have found this office on the first shot. From Dr.Stancel & Dr.Caba to the staff in the front, everyone has been so kind, caring & helpful. Our visits have never felt rushed. I had experiences with Dr. Stancel years ago when he practiced in Nutley but I have had a steady ongoing relationship with him for almost the past two years for the care of my animal child. Christopher Stancel is experienced with many animals including exotics. He is a compassionate and kind doctor. I could not imagine trusting anyone else. 1st time patient and ran into traffic. Got there 10 minutes late and was turned away. Now, I get they have a late policy on the website that says 9 minutes late is considered a no show. Every other place has a 15 minute policy so I was under the impression this was the same (I read their policy after the fact). PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU COME HERE! Brought my rabbit in and when I was in the lobby, a pitbull lunged at my carrier with my bun inside. This front office did absolutely nothing, and putting me and my pet at such risk with no assistance is insane. There NEEDS to be boundaries and precautions in place, especially given that this office sees exotics and dogs/cats alike. Most vets require you to call or ring a bell before entering.
