Best Pet Store I've been going to Paws and Claws for my dog's food and toys for a couple of years and love it. They know my name and my dog's name and carry her favorite toys which I have never been able to find anywhere else. They even helped me pick out new dog food when she was having allergies. Forget PetSmart, I'm happy to support this great local business!
Two Paws Up! Staff provided excellent grooming service for my long-haired dog, who is a pain to groom sometimes since he's so hyper. They were patient and efficient - we both left happy! Fees reasonable.
A Puppy Place I am a pet sitter and I've been taking my clients dog to Paws and Claws for over a year now. They have a neat little store as well as a full service dog grooming service. Cobe the dog always comes out nice and clean each time! We've also purchased some items for the dogs as well. The prices are a little higher than the big chain stores ,but the small store makes for a much better shopping experience.
Ask to see the back area where they groom the dogs! The outside of this Augusta Ave shop is nice and the store is spacious and bright. That is not where they hold or groom your pet! I will say it again, ask to see the back area where they groom the dogs!

Michelle at Paws & Claws on Verdae was wildly knowledgeable about our Aussie’s double coat. She educated us, was patient with our boy who was a first-timer, and he looks outstanding. We were shaving him at home before we realized that was a no-no with double coated dogs, so he was very matted underneath his top coat. As you can tell from the pictures, he is clearly very happy now. Thank you for everything! We will definitely be back!

Highly recommend! My dog is very anxious and does not like to be around many people but she LOVES Michelle! We go to the Verdae location and I cannot say enough great things about Michelle! My dog always looks and smells amazing! I would recommend this place to any dog owner and they take phenomenal care of your fur baby! ♥️
I took my boy to get his first haircut and Paws and Claws did a wonderful job! Toby can be anxious, but they were very patient with him and made him look so handsome. The staff is friendly and personable. I will definitely be using Paws and Claws again in the future. Highly recommend!
