I cannot imagine what disorders the earlier poster, David Washburn, cause his perceptions to be so skewed, but Stephanie Pawlowicz has never done my therapy in the manner he described. Rather, she was the first therapist who was willing to share her thoughts, perceptions and choices when I asked her to do so. I had never experienced that assistance before. It made everything work better.
I would caution against seeing Stephanie Pawlowicz for couples therapy. Maybe she's fine for individual counseling, but my experience with marriage counseling was horrendous. I have been to several therapists and feel I can fairly compare their methods to Ms. Pawlowicz. Her approach of not challenging statements and beliefs made by either party meant there was no hope of resolving anything.
