My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Maine sea scallops served over stone-ground grits, and the cocktails were perfectly balanced. Loved everything about this place! It was a treat for my husband and I as we aren't wealthy by any means, but we were able to enjoy what we could and they treated us as if we were rich. The man at the door was friendly and genuine, treating us as if we were local neighborhood friends, the server was amazing! I forget her name, but short hair. Had an excellent experience here last night, and can't wait to return. Service, food, ambience are great, and at very reasonable prices. Much better prices than touristy restaurants in downtown Portsmouth, and much better food. Very special place.
The atmosphere is quaint and rustic feeling. The food is amazing and cooked perfectly. RJ it's a very delightful host. The staff is attentive to your needs and very helpful. Definitely make a reservation so you don't miss out!
We arrived early and were seated upstairs. The host was welcoming, courteous and professional. The restaurant was just starting to fill up, and while the parking lot is small, we were early enough to get a spot. I can definitely see how parking could get tight later in the evening.
