The dining experience was, unfortunately, underwhelming. From the start, the rundown exterior and unkempt entryway set a poor first impression. The lack of reservations forced us to sit at the bar—accessed via a steep staircase. The bar itself was dimly lit, and the wooden seats were incredibly uncomfortable, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. Carriage House shattered all of my expectations. The meal was one of the best I've had in recent years. During the winter, the building gives off such a cozy, warm feeling. We were sat near the window, but the baseboard heaters kept me nice and toasty. The service is unmatched! Our server kept our drinks, appetizers, and entrees spaced out so we could enjoy ourselves. This dinner was the best meal I've had in awhile going out to eat. I got the swordfish which I don't know what they put on that damn thing BUT GODDANGIT it was FANTASTIC! we got 4 appetizers, and each one hit perfectly. I will be recommending to every foodie I know. It's a little dark and you might need a flashlight to read the menu but that's the only off putting thing. And that's not even off-putting because no matter what you order on the menu, regardless, will be delish. So forget reading the menu. Good date spot
