I experience popping and clicking on the left side of my jaw so I came here because I wanted to make sure my joints were ok with a doctor that is board certified. Dr. Barbisan did an exam as well as a cone beam scan for my specific situation which was extremely helpful. My original goal was to see: does my jaw/joints need to be stabilized before I do orthodontic treatment? Are my joints ok after years of clicking? I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Paula Barbisan and her team. I came in exhausted from years of poor sleep and bad sleep scores. Dr. Barbisan took the time to explain everything clearly, listened to my concerns, and custom-fitted a sleep apnea mouth guard that changed my life. Dr. Barbisan was very knowledgeable and helped me overcome my issues with TMJ. I highly recommend her if your experiencing problems from TMJ.
Although I have no complaints about her physical examination or injections of Botox in my face/jaw area to determine TMJ and my teeth grinding. . My problem is with the then supposed “new” hard upper mouth guard she sold me several months ago and for which I complained at the time since it appeared to be no different than the type I previously had used on prior occasions ( vs the small bottom clip I was then using when I first saw her).
