I experienced a severe tibia plateau fracture several years ago and my local orthopedic surgeon took a pass on performing the necessary surgery. Dr. Tornetta took me as a patient on a moment's notice and performed the surgery to repair my exploded tibia the next day! He is a gifted surgeon and a really nice guy. I hold him in the highest regard.

Dr. Tornetta did an excellent job of explaining the pros and cons of the surgical options to fix my broken elbow. He's a friendly and attentive doc, and I only learned afterward about his 'star status' in the world of orthopedic surgery. He literally wrote the book on orthopedic trauma, and he's able to 'teach' both the students flanking him and his patients without being condescending. Great experience all around (except for the elbow breaking, that is).

He is the worst doctor ever. He is rude and uncaring. My son had bone injuries from a gunshot. He was taken to BMC (also the worst hospital ever). When my son complained of pain, this so called "doctor" told my son he would not give him any pain medicine. When my son begged for something to relieve the severe pain, this doctor said "don't get shot if you don't want to have pain". This doctor should lose his license for being so cruel.
