I just got on Medicare, with the very best supplemental coverage you can buy, Plan F. I breathed a sigh of relief after being without insurance for 3 years due to being cancelled by my provider after Affordable Care Act (a plan would cost me 800.00 a month on the bronze plan.) I called this doctor's office and was informed in a very matter of fact way, that this doctor (and all the other doctors in his office) do not take new Medicare patients. So there you are. Still no coverage.
We have been seeing Dr. Koenig since he was a resident. Even then, we were happier with him than with other MDs we had seen with years of experience. He is knowledgeable, compassionate and thorough. It's about an hour's drive (potentially much longer at rush hour) each way to see him, and we couldn't imagine seeing anyone else. He is a rare find.
