I think Dr. Sherman is a quite competent surgeon, but personal interactions are often left to medical assistants are are very impersonal. He seemed too busy to even look at my chart prior to a follow up appointment and mistook me for a different patient. (All non-star athletes are second class patients). I canceled upcoming follow ups as I could see nothing to be gained from the time and cost. He recommended a compression sleeve for my knee which was not covered by insurance AND possibly benefited him financially.

Business response:

Thank you for trusting me with your care. I apologize for any miscommunication. I care deeply about you and every patient and work hard to treat everyone with compassion and respect. My team shares these common values. It is unfortunate that knee sleeves are not covered by insurance, but they are often beneficial for patients. I do not receive royalties from the individual sales of them. My industry relations are public knowledge. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss further.

I found him to be a great doctor. We set a plan and are following it without failing. The surgeries as well as appointments have been in a timely manner with a complete explanation.

I went to Dr Sherman for a lateral meniscus repair. After talking to other surgeons who were focused on removing the meniscus. Dr Sherman was the first surgeon who focused on leaving as much meniscus as possible, and who was focused on making sure I would have as successful of a return to sport as possible. As an active athlete -- skier, runner, climber, alpinist -- my priority was to get back to my outdoor activities. I'm happy to report that a year after my meniscus repair I summitted Denali and ran an ultra-marathon, and ... read more

I came in for chronic pain in my legs and was prescribed a whole slew of nerve pain meds over 10 years and never thoroughly examined. Finally I discovered that the bulk of my problem was my low back, not my legs. I went back. They did an MRI. But still did not thoroughly examine me, just had me bend over. I got a phone cal saying I didn't have enough damage to offer me pain management. 10 years of high levels of pain and I didn't have enough damage to offer me care. From a pain management doctor. I fired him and went to Dr. ... read more

Dr. Varghese is a high-tech pain doctor. He is not there to give you pain meds. He's there to give you long-term solutions such as steroid shots and ablations. The procedures require a high level of skill and I have always had amazing results. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

not so great, knee surgery 11/2019 and after 10 months I have more pain. He is not taking care of the patient, not answering questions, and send me directly to another doctor. Lack of follow up, lack of responsibility and I still don't know what wrong with my knee. don't go

Dr. Santiago operated on my husband for a traumatic spinal cord injury from a fall. He is a very talented surgeon, who performed 8.5 hours operation to repair 8 vertebrae in his spine. He took the time to explain everything and answer all of our questions. We found him to be a very caring and down to earth human being. Our family fell in love with him and will use his skills in the future as needed. Thank you Dr. Santiago. Charles Smith family.

I was a patient of Dr. Varghese for a couple years for an ablation procedure i required every so many months. His bedside manner is appalling to say the least. I have never been the patient of a doctor more self righteous, arrogant, and uncaring as he. He possessed little to no compassion for me considering the amount of pain I live with. The last appointment I had with him I was in tears because he was so disrespectful and harsh. Going in for the procedure causes enough anxiety without him being such a jerk. I have never be... read more

Dr. Crist has done multiple reconstruction surgeries on my left leg to correct issues from my injury in Iraq. He is always knowledgeable, professional, and has made it so I can play with my young daughter. I owe him a debt that cannot be repaid.
