Steve came to my property today and was personable and knowledgeable. Although he didn't tell me what I was hoping to hear, I truly appreciate and value his opinion in that he was nothing but honest and straightforward with respect to today's market. 1. Appraiser wore a gator (scientifically proven to cause more water droplets in air) not a protective mask while completing appraisal in the middle of pandemic. In hindsight, I should have reported this to the health department. 2. Appraiser was inconsistent and seemed unfamiliar with the area (Bellevue). Rental comps would have valued property in the $180,000-$190,000 range, but the properties used as value comps were in less desirable areas that led to a valuation at $150,000. 3.
