1 star. Saw Dr. Grindstaff, who was fine during the apt. Not great, but fine. He ordered MRI's, which is what was needed. However, despite getting them done within a week, bringing him the physical cd's, calling twice, and having his nurses talk to him, it took him nearly a month to read the MRI's. Then, when we asked for a transfer of care, he quickly read them and did the needful. I have not met him. I read the reviews, but I wanted to believe the good ones. I have been waiting two months for an appointment and I received three notices in the last few days of my appointment, and I confirmed on all three of them that I would be there, however, 24 hours before my appointment I got a phone call from the office staff saying that Dr. Grindstaff does not do second opinions. Updated Review (10/7/25) (originally was 5 stars, now ONE star, if I could ZERO stars I would!) I’m updating my review based on a recent experience with Dr. Grindstaff’s nurse (whose name begins with “L”). We called to request an urgent referral after another physician advised us that Dr. Grindstaff’s office could expedite the process by sending it directly. Dr. Grindstaff is a very good neurologist who actually listens. He let me talk through all of my symptoms, didn’t dismiss them, and agreed that something is going on — we just have to figure out what it is. He’s on the quieter side, maybe even a little shy, but beyond that he seems like a caring and thorough doctor if you give him a chance. I left my appointment feeling heard and supported, and I would recommend him to others who want a neurologist who takes their concerns seriously.
