We had a very good experience with PKB. They built a new en-suite and walk in closet from attic space, re-created an existing bathroom into a more efficient en-suite and separate half bath for the hallway, turned a nook into an office and built a new covered patio with fireplace and several bells and whistles out back. We gave our trust and $20,000 to Paul. He used it as an opportunity to train his staff. We came to the business with a rough home design and asked for tweaks to the purchasable plan. They spent all the money to produce an ugly mess from scratch instead, at $200,000 over budget. The design took an absurd amount of time because he tried to use an internal designer instead of an architect. We just completed a home renovation with PKB on our 1960s home including: new front porch, reconfiguring and finishing our basement (including turning an unfinished portion into a new bed / bath, adding laundry room, adding new square footage for mud room), and other upgrades including new siding.
