I wish I’d found this oncologist sooner! While my surgeon treated me before surgery with estrogen blockers, no other doctor even suggested them as a treatment option to me before surgery when you can shrink tumors and have a better outcome. However this is a common practice for Dr Coluzzi. He didn’t over prescribe or treat me with unnecessary (in my case) chemo and also referred me to a nutritionist which I loved. What a gem of a human being and superb physician! After what felt like heartless and scientific textbook meetings with previous doctors, this doctor’s first words to my best friend were, “What’s important to you”? The depth of compassion, the honesty and the sense of relief he provided was an emotional lifesaver for all of us.
