Seems to have retired or has cut back on his activities. He seems very competent but can be moody and impatient. I greatly admire his outstanding accomplishments, especially given his hearing disability.
Two calls to this doctor's office for an out-of-state consult. Two different call takers several weeks apart. Two different promises to have the doctor call me. Still haven't been called. This office does not value patients.
Excellent doctor- Excellent staff. Dr Hammerschlag found a broken tympanic bone in my ear when 2 previous Ent's couldn't find anything. His extensive knowledge & experience make you feel confident in him when he tells you the operation will be successful- he operated on me the first week of November & restored the majority of my hearing. I'm thankful for any amount of hearing to have back in that ear. Between him, his staff & NYU Langone Ambulatory Care- I just can't compliment any of them enough!
I was considering three different doctors for my ear operation and have been very happy that I picked Dr. Hammerschlag. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and patient, and clearly had a lot of experience. In addition, my experience at the NYU Langone Medical Center was great: great doctor and great staff! My operation was an absolute success, and I will soon be returning to have the other ear fixed by this wonderful doctor and team.
