Dr. Chomiak treated my father over a period of a few years. His care was compassionate, expert, and superbly professional. This professionalism and compassion was also extended to the family. For decades, I have witnessed various members of my family require highly specialized medical care, most of which was received in world-class medical facilities; and I consider Dr. Chomiak among the best we have encountered.
In the summer of 2017, in a coughing spell from bronchitis, my wife broke four ribs and fractured her thoracic diaphragm, resulting in a shifting of internal organs that presented a major risk. Her heart was in the center of her chest, her lungs were seriously impaired, and her gastrointestinal organs were forced into her thoracic cavity. Dr. Chomiak showed my husband compassion and respect. He explained the surgery for his lung in great detail..The surgery was excellent. He prescribed an outstanding course of post op meds and was a pleasure to work with. We are so glad we had Dr. Chomiak in our area.The nurse and staff are very well organized. Very helpful and detailed.
Dr. Chomiak was very rude and unprofessional. Avoid this doctor at all costs. He thinks that he is God. He resorts to surgery as the first option. I politely asked for a second opinion and he became furious. He proceeded to storm out of the room and sign off on my case immediately. He told everyone that I fired him, which was a lie. The truth is: he is so full of himself that he became offended and refused to operate on me after asking for a second opinion.
