Excellent studio equipment!
Having owned Paul Buff products for over 10+ years, my recent experience has been a disaster. The DigiBee 800 sync port fell apart and I had to send it in for repair within 4 months of purchase. Then parts continued to break on the unit. The spring inside the diffuser clamp recently broke and caused my light to explode, and it fried my vagabond mini battery. Love Paul C Buff gear, used it for years and have spent thousands of dollars on their lights and modifiers, but if you don't spend big money on one order and just need a replacement part, the cheapest option they give to get a tiny little replacement part is $30. That is almost half the cost of the part itself.
I've been to the location a few times over the years and each time I was met with great customer service. This time around, I had my sleeping son in my car and they were kind enough to process an order for a couple wireless triggers for my strobes while I stayed in the car. The technology is great, the service is just as amazing. I Would recommend them to fellow creatives.
Dear Paul C Buff. We have begged and begged for you to use a more affordable way to get products and parts for years!!!! And this is faster. Your shipping prices are insane. Tariffs aside nothing has changed. It’s literally cheaper to buy a used unit than buy a flash tube and a modeling light through you. Yay recycling? Also note, your employee reviews are terrible and that hurts my damn soul.
