One of the best independents in town One of the best independent service stations in town. Their mechanics tend to stay around a good while (know their stuff, etc.). Management knows cars, not just how to book slots in the calendar and handle the bills. The kind of place that customers recommend to friends and family. Not cheap, but good. Once your car is out of warranty, and at today's car prices you're likely to have it past the warranty period, check Patterson's out for its service.

I feel like this company RIPPED ME OFF. I am a college student that lives in Ithaca. I know nothing about cars. I went to Patterson’s Service Station to have a repair done to my radiator on my 2007 Volvo. My roommate unfortunately bumped a curb and it caused a leak. She and her dad agreed to pay for the repair. I was quoted a price for repair and told them to go ahead because I assumed the price quoted was what is ordinarily charged for this repair. I had a problem with my Son's 94 Honda. He's at Ithaca College and I'm 200 miles away. Needless to say finding a reputable shop to keep his car going was hard, but then we found Patterson's. They were courteous, professional, fair and friendly. I would recommend them over the national shops on Elmira Rd. I was treated well, the car fixed for a very reasonable fee. Nothing additional oversold to me or recommended that was not necessary. They are excellent. I would recommend them to anyone who lives or resides in Ithaca.
