Sitting in the heart of the Theater District, this friendly Italian restaurant was established in 1944, and is still going strong. Traditional Italian cooking and a warm atmosphere ideal for going out with families and friends alike, is what makes Patsy's such a loved establishment. The interiors are done up in mellow hues, with beautiful chandeliers and sconces creating a warm vibe. The artwork and photographs adorning the walls add a nice touch to the proceedings. Signature dishes at Patsy's include Chicken Contadina, Veal... read more

Great Place to Eat.......... The food and the service here is great. I love to eat the lasagna with the garlic knots. Pasty's definitely met my expectations. The cost to eat here isn't that bad..
Worst quality food on 7/28/2008 – The pasta e fagioli soup was bubbling, very thick, and extremely sour, from fermentation. Do not sell spoiled food to your customers!
Waaaaay overrated. – I've been looking forward to eating at this legendary NYC Italian restaurant for years and had the opportunity this past weekend. To say it was a disappointment would be an understatement. It was downright displeasurable. For starters, it reeks of the mob. A good third of the clientele and staff are capable of giving you "the eye" at a drop of a crumb. I had to eat my meal with blinders in fear of being handed a kiss and black rose by the guy sitting next to me. My crime? I believe I looked in his direct... read more
Super Pasta – This is an old school italian restaurant...the photos of Sinatra, Tony Bennet, etc....The pasta is delicious. It's very New York. I highly recommend it.
Best service anywhere- Joe and Frank meet you and welcome you into their home- Sal settles you in for the treat – I've been eating lunch and an occasional dinner at Patsy's for over 12 years. Joe, the second owner (his father was the first) is my age 60+ and can tell stories about when my father used to have lunch there with Jules S..., a former President of the NY Athletic Club. If you would like a lesson in the History of NYC...you must stop in for a late lunch. Sal, Joe's son is not only the head chef, but the head histor... read more
Like Italian should be... – We wen to this place on a whim, because Frank Sinatra used to eat there. What a great find... the waiters were in tuxedos (so I'd dress up a little) and were vert attentive. All of the food was delicious! I had linguine with pesto, and it was great. I also tried a friend's tortellini Bolegnese, and it was fabulous. Another friend's mushroom ravioli had a strange flavor. For dessert, I had a plate of raspberries and whipped cream - I've never seen something so simple in a restaurant before, but aft... read more
I had a wonderful time! – We were greeted when we walked in to the beautiful downstairs dinning room by a lovely gentleman who although had never met us treated us like old friends. After ordering one of the best perfect manhattan's we have had in a while.....we were led up stairs to our table, greeted by the waiter and told the specials. The wine selection was plentiful offering a favorite, the food was perfection itself and the dessert a sin. To top the evening off we were given a lovely black bag with a jar of Patsy's sau... read more
Gives NYC a bad name! – We had a party of 5 and that was a problem. The staff told us how lucky we were to have a reservation. We waited at the cramped bar area where some people were forced to eat at tiny tables with our butts and bags in their plates. When seated we were rushed to order. With that said we ordered wine, one red one white. The wine was brought to the table with 4 glasses. My husband told the sommelier I would taste the red. He poured a fill glass and slammed it down in front of me with wine running down the ... read more
Worst service experience ever! – We've been there several times and the service was never hospitable. This past time would be our last time for sure. We entered and asked for a table for two (around 3pm). There are several empty table but the receptionist told us "we can sit you but you have to get out at 5pm!. okay.. get out is a very polite word to start the whole RUDE experience. My boyfrined has been asked to put away his trench coat. He said he would like to keep it. The receptionist insisted that "no coat in the dining... read more
