The high ratings for Pats at Punalua misleading and questionable. While the beach is lovely, the turtles fun to see at night....This is the worst place we have ever stayed. Our 5th unit floor was roach infested. We killed 7 cockroaches during our stay, while several more got away. There is no lock on the balcony door, and the screen door has holes. We sought a North or East Shore vacation spot on Oahu with ocean views and booked this property. Initially concerned about its age, built in 1975, and highway-facing exterior, we discovered paradise on the other side. Our unit had 1 bedroom (which had bunk beds we didn’t use) and a main living room where where we slept. It was a large unit with plenty of space - a full kitchen, washer & dryer and a bathroom with shower. They provide 24-hour security and require a special fob for the elevators that ensured our privacy. The cr... read more
We had a great time here, small town feel, right on the beach. Saw large turtles swimming near shore and on the shore. Would definitely stay here again.
