Specialties: We strive to offer the best barbeque food you can find. We make it from scratch. We trim the briskets, make our own seasoning mixes, SLOW smoke our meat for HOURS on a stick burner. Drove two hours to eat here. From the moment you walk in your senses are assaulted by the amazing smell of smoked meat. Once the food arrived I was not disappointed. I went with pulled pork, smoked dark meat chicken quarter, and ribs with a side of "funeral potatoes". My buddy tried the pulled pork and brisket. The people do treat you decently to your face, all smiles and such. I really don't understand how this facility has passed a health inspection nor how cross contamination is not regarded. The meat was okay unless you compare the prices vs quality of others in the area. The menu is very limited because their usually out of what you would want. Call ahead to make sure they have anything.
Now that's real homemade food! Pulled pork sandwich, cowboy beans, coleslaw and potato salad.
We stumbled onto this restaurant while on a business trip and so glad we did. The barbecue brisket sandwich melted in my mouth and the side dish of funeral potatoes was the best I've ever eaten. It's a quiant little place with a very nice, interesting couple that runs the place. Five stars from my husband and me.
