I’ve now had 2 excellent experiences at Patriot Auto so thought I’d spread the good word about them. I don’t know anything about cars so finding a trustworthy mechanic is hard and stressful! I feel like I’m always being taken advantage of! But I haven’t felt that way at all with Patriot. In fact my most recent experience with them - I brought my car in for an unknown squeak and thought maybe it was the breaks. Steve is great. His prices are always fair and the work is always done when he says it will be done. I’ve never had to question whether or not I’m getting ripped off. Highly recommended.
The horn on my Toyota stopped working so it couldn’t pass inspection. I talked to Steve and brought it in. He told me what he thought it was (new clock spring and horn) and quoted me a price ($$) - I knew it was going to be expensive but had to have it done. He called me back a few hours later with good news. After they started working on it they found it was less complicated than they originally thought (I didn’t need a new clock spring, it was mostly corrosion) and it would cost me much less ( almost half!) than the origin... read more
