Our daughter graduated from PHC, and we know that it is an excellent college! The education she received was outstanding. We would recommend Patrick Henry College to any graduating high school student.
When I came to PHC, I wanted to find a community of students who were serious about academics and their relationship with the Lord. While both of those things vary from student to student, that is exactly what I found, and I am very grateful for the experience.
I will preface this comment: I went to classroom school more years than I was homeschooled, this is probably longer than it should be... sorry! Spending my summers at PHC before college, I gained a wealth of knowledge through their summer intensive camps. From 7th grade and on, they were teaching me how to think independently and critically-- how to problem solve not only just for activities at camp, but also for life and in our communities. An incredible place full of incredible people. The faculty and staff truly care for the students. It's size may count against it in some ways, but in no way diminishes Christlikeness that pervades the community and academics. Speaking as a student myself, I can say that it wasn't a place where I felt completely sheltered from this troubled world - and that's a good thing.
