It has been one year since my open heart surgery (bentall procedure) , which I would like to thank Dr. Parrino and his entire staff and all the people in the operating room, all the people after my operation that got me and my family through that difficult time. Thankyou !!!
I honestly can’t write a review about the doctor, but my mother was scheduled with him for a consult after being referred by her heart doctor. Her valve was failing and was told she had less than 2 months to live with this valve. His office called to schedule her and her appointment for consultation was scheduled for 2 1/2 weeks. Well she went into cardiac arrest waiting. I feel they should have seen her sooner knowing how bad she was. Dr. Parrino did cardiac by pass surgery 15 years ago on my husband! He is still in good shape concerning that issue. Dr. Parrino told my husband to walk a certain amount everyday and my husband has stuck to that plan for 15 years. Great advice! One evening Dr. Parrino met with us and answered all of our questions. Rarely do you meet a highly skilled physician who has a great bedside manner. He did not rush us and as result it helped to relieve my anxiety on the day of surgery. Dr. Parrino did my heart transplant a little over 15 years ago. He was very courteous and comforting at that time. I'm sure has remained the same through the years. I think it goes without saying, he's an excellent surgeon. The best cardiac team ANYWHERE is at Ochsner. Thank you, Dr Parrino and Ochsner's for all my added years. I've been blessed by God to know all of you!!!
