Never been a patient of this doctor but my mom has been a patient for many many years…..ladies beware this lady is doing many unnecessary paps for you older ladies and when questioned she gets very defensive and doesn’t have very knowledgeable answers. I saw Dr. Alcala twice. Whenever you visit a doctor, you have to complete paperwork in which you share any medical conditions you have, your medications, and your family history. I appreciate that she ordered ultrasounds and bloodwork right away to address my concerns. However it appeared as if she didn’t even read my paperwork as she prescribed medication that I should not be taking due to my health issues. My name is Yoly Fisher. I have been a patient of Dr. Alcala for about 40 years. She is the type of doctor who I would trust with my life. In fact not only did she deliver my daughters she delivered my granddaughter as well. She is knowledgeable and professional yet I feel we have a friendly relationship. She’s the best!! PS her staff is wonderful as well. Professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
