Back in May 1971, Marshall Pate opened up a local auto tune-up shop. At the time his son, Mike Pate, was only 11, but he pulled his weight around the shop. Together over the years they built a strong relationship with the local community, and Pate's Tune-Up was on it's feet. In 1978 Mike officially came aboard and partnered with his dad.
