great staff and low prices you have a city full of home depots and lowes, it is great to have these wonderful stores to go into and get personal service. They want to make sure you know what you are buying and how to use it. Wonderful employees make it the best do it yourself store in town.
A Great place for Wine-makers! In my experience, all of the "Do It Best" hardware stores give much better personal service than the big box hardware stores. But, Patterson's fills a special niche that the others do not. Mr. Patterson himself is a wine-maker, and his passion for this art shows through in his hardware store! He devotes 2 whole aisles to wine-making and beer-making supplies! He and/or his son are always on hand to answer questions, give advice, or to help someone new to the hobby. Great service!! I love being able to walk into a store, be greeted by a staff member who asks if you need any assistance, and then be taken to the items you are looking for. Paterson's also is very supportive of the schools in the area-definately a plus in my book!!
