I was referred by my OB at that time. I went to visit them 6/10/26. During this visit, I was told I was 13 weeks and 5days (which was also on the ultrasound screen) which made the due date earlier and that my cervix was slightly covered, she even pointed at it. She affirmed there were no issues she could forsee. I go to my follow up OB the next week, he advised me that it my cervix was fully covered, per Dr Patel and I needed to be on pelvic rest. If you can avoid visiting this doctor do it. The office manager is AWFUL, RUDE, DISRESPECTUL and INSENSITIVE. We had to go in for a second opinion with this Dr. It was right after seeing our OBGYN and they made us pay the full consult cost because they did not have "time" to run our insurance and the manager said she would refund our money once the insurance paid. I would urge any expectant parent to avoid Dr. Priya Patel’s office. My husband and I endured two weeks of unnecessary heartbreak and pure "panic mode" due to their medical negligence, lack of compassion, and total lack of bedside manner. If I could 0 stars I would beware of this practice their only in it for the money besides being incompetent. I went to a different MFM and she told me I have a short cervix and referred me to Dr. Patel he told me I needed to get a cervical cerclage because my baby is in danger and could come out prematurely. It was wrong on my part for not getting another opinion just hearing the words you fear the most makes you do about anything to protect your child.
