My husband and I are longtime patients of the good Dr. Patel. Most recently, my husband seemed to have an eye irritation and Dr. Patel’s staff made space in his busy schedule for him. Within the first minute of the visit Dr. Patel’s diagnosis was shingles. He recommended we go to the emergency room at a nearby hospital for a scan of the eye socket. Dr Patel is an excellent dioctor who listens to what you have to say and very caring and refers you to who ypu need to see, My family has gone to him for over 15 years and never thought about changing to any other physician.
Dr.s thorough... He tries to make sure you have what you need. He's quick to send you to specialist, I wonder why do we need a primary (pcp) we know when our stomach hurts go to a stomach dr. If you're heart not feeling right see a heart dr ... I Don't know he's kinda weird like he's lost.
Very thorough. He detected possibility of cancer in my husband. Tests proved him correct. In my mind, he saved my husband’s life. We both like him very much and appreciate his care of our health. I’d definitely recommend him, and have done so many times to our friends and family.
Dr. Patel is HORRIBLE! I went to him for several years because I couldn't find another doctor. When I DID find someone good, I found out I had been diabetic and he didn't notice or bother telling me. His office staff had been charging Medicare for procedures that I never received. He tried to get me to repeat test that I had just had done that were done in his office that had come out fine and I know it was just for the money, That was all he is about, MONEY! Not a good Doctor. Charges and bills you saying you owe them money when you don't. Staff wastes your time when you want to change doctors.
Huge waste of time. I followed his treatment plan for many months and after having zero progress he coped out and said that my disc related pain was probably just stress and offered to refer me to a Pain Psychologist as if talking about my writhing neck pain would offer me relief. Never have I met a doctor with so little genuine empathy for his patients. Not to mention that he was too conservative to actually attempt any real treatment plans. Waste of time money and effort.
