I tried to order online, since I am not very good at finding things when I shop in person. I found almost everything that I wanted, but when I place the order online the delivery date was after my flight leaves ... panic!! So I drove to the Patagonia store in Palo Alto (on Alma, just south of University) and got amazing help. Thank you to Laurent for ever so kindly and diligently helping bring my 20-year-old Patagonia ski jack back to life. I walked in today and mentioned to him that I had noticed two of the zipper pulls had broken off. Not only did he helpfully replace them at the store, but also he proactively noticed that the material in two spots may benefit from a gentle go of their LED Fabric Shaver/Lint Remover and kindly offered to further restore the jacket to be enjoyed for many more years. I popped by to do a late return and not only were the staff accommodating (purchased in Dec 2025!), she was really warm and friendly too. Sorry I didn’t catch her name but she was a fairly tall Asian lady. Patagonia always delivers great customer service!
Unfortunately the only store close by for returns. Today I brought in the R2 jacket I bought online a few months ago. Never worn, hanging in the closet. This tall white associate asked me several times if it was worn and placed in the wash. He nitpicked on the inner layer, zip/unzipped, checked all the pockets, picked on the neck layer with “shedding.” I told him to grab a new R2 crosstrata jacket in the store to compare. He did not.
