We have been going to Pat O’Brien’s for over a decade and have always been thrilled. But the new pianists have the sound so loud it is deafening. At one point when the female artist was singing, my ear felt like it was being pierced. One method to mask errors in music and nuances is to amplify the sound. We were here on a rainy night. Big props to Abby, Jim, and Crystal for making a rainy day worthwhile. Also Ray the manager for answering our questions and Ward for making the best nachos ever. Best time we had in a long time. Update 7/11/25.... We went back on Friday 7-11 and tried the Cajun Mac and cheese. We were greeted with big smiles and hugs from Kenny. Food was terrible. Small portions, chicken wings not good. Nachos not good. And on top of that we added chicken to our nachos, and they didn’t even give enough chicken to feed a toddler never mind 2 grown adults. The jambalaya was dry, and overcooked. Singers were not very good and place was dead. I do not recommend this place at all. The only place that had availability on July 4th at City walk, and it was for a reason!
