They use fear tactics (like making it sound like you will die) to try and get you to buy more vaccines and act like they are just informing you of the risks of travel, but no, they are trying to get as much money from you as possible. It’s a bad business with scammy sales tactics.
WARNING DO NOT GO HERE!!! They use fear tactics to try and get you to buy more vaccines. The place is seedy, disorganized and obviously a scam. They are capitalizing on people traveling last minute they will overcharge you and make it sound like you are going to die if you don’t get every vaccine in the book. I booked Passport Health for routine travel vaccines and left feeling shaken and furious. During the consult, I was told—point blank—that without “a number of shots today” I could die. That fear tactic was followed by a bill over $3,000 for vaccines and add-ons. I walked out and got a second opinion at St. Luke’s, where I received an appropriate, evidence-based plan for about $800 (and I haven’t even filed insurance yet). Hole in the wall. The nurse seemed pretty lazy to be honest. We were late because it’s not easy to find and the parking is terrible downtown, but we waited in the waiting room for 5 min for him to tell us we couldn’t be seen because we were 10 minutes late. Said he was very busy, but he moved like a sloth so…Do yourself a favor and go to st Luke’s travel clinic. You’ll have a much better experience. Wish we wouldn’t have even wasted our time here.
