Not a pleasant experience. I bought an 18 spline 833 from Passon for my '71 Road Runner, and had it installed by the restorer that was doing my car. However, when driving, the trans would not stay in fourth gear. I don't know the whole story of the back and forth between the restorer and Passon, but I got the impression Passon said the likely cause was something to do with bellhousing indexing, and not the trans.
