Parkwood National Historic Site is truly one of the most impressive historic places I’ve seen in Ontario. This isn’t just an ordinary museum you feel like you’re travelling back in time. Built between 1915 and 1917, this 55-room mansion is incredibly well preserved. The furniture, artwork, and details inside are still displayed in their original form, which makes the experience feel much more authentic. Our tour was fabulous and Geoffrey, our guide was friendly, animated and excited to tell us all about Parkwood. Whether you had been on the tour before or not, there is so much to learn and see. The tour was 90 minutes and we appreciated that throughout the home there were chairs available for us. Our interests were piqued to see the rest of the home. We would definitely recommend going on the tour!

My three children and I attended the Auto Baron Guided Tour on April 4, 2026, and it was an incredible experience. The tour was truly enjoyable and offered wonderful insight into the lives of Robert Samuel McLaughlin and his wife, Adelaide McLaughlin.
