EASILY the best music shop in the Capital Region with helpful people, great constantly updating stock, and wide variety. I especially love their surprisingly wide selection of bluegrass instruments and mandolins. Also the most reasonable prices in the area, with especially fair pricing on used instruments. Have now bought multiple guitars there, and Mike’s the best. They give good setups too. Will go back EVERY TIME!
This is the best store for musicians, that I have ever been in. There is always an impressive array of instruments and professional grade equipment available to purchase. Whether you are just starting out or are a seasoned musician, you will find yourself right at home. Enjoy!
I guess this place opened around the time I moved out of the area. Had no idea of it's existence. And I was looking to purchase a Bill. Nash Stratocaster preferably in seafoam green. They happened to have one. Bought it merely based on their guarantees. They were certainly as good as their word, and it arrived in pristine condition exactly as advertised. Only after the purchase did I realize the store's location. Now after visiting in a person I'm even more impressed. Great store, great staff.
I've been a random customer for years. I buy Scarlett audio interfaces here because it's a good local business that stocks them at a price that is barely more than online. I also brought in my favorite old electric guitar to have all the electronics replaced. The whole result was absolutely worth it. Their guitar tech did fantastic work with both straightforward repairs and some nuanced detail work on something I bought off a kid 30 years ago and rebuilt mechanically. Been going here for years. Usually a good selection and fair/honest prices. The staff is either great/friendly or think their shit don't stink but that's most places nowadays. Much preferred over GC but it's also the only other show in town.
