- Someone was sleeping on the floor by the late night entry into the lobby. - Place and rooms are dirty. - Check in process takes a long time as they didn’t come to the reception desk for over 20 minutes after being notified. - Keycard was wrong and had to get amended. - No Smoking, but definitely heavily smoked interior. - small bar that consisted of soap, hair and something else left in the shower?? - stained carpets.
My partner and I spent 2 nights here recently (Saturday and Sunday). This was our first ever stay. My partner is in a band, that were playing 2 nights in a row, in 2 different venues. So we needed somewhere reasonably central and not to expensive. To be completely honest, we weren't expecting anything much from the apartment, we usually book far more expensive hotel rooms. John's customer service was second to none, made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. He went above and beyond to make for sure we were ok and had everything we needed, he's a lovely man. Room was comfortable, location perfect, value for money.
I came here in January. The staff were quite lovely, so I regret to have to warn you about this place. Plates in the cupboard sticking together. Loose shower tiles. Hair in the shower drain! Urrrgh. I understand that this place has fairly new owners and is undergoing renovations. I hope they have deep pockets. I booked 4 days, but stayed 3 because I decided, having already paid, that I'd get more enjoyment for my money by leaving this dump.
