I wanted to post this because I found this conversation really interesting (text messages below). This office informs me that they won’t approve one of my dog’s heartworm preventative prescriptions because a wellness exam is required. The only requirement for heartworm prescription approval is an annual heartworm test, which is not included in Dr. Shelton’s wellness exams.
