My guilty pleasure – Absolutley adore this place. The bread is fantastic as is the hamburger. I often go here for lunch and enjoy dining "al fresco" here in the summer months. My favorite thing to get here is the chicken salad. Manga!
Worth the Trip from Narragansett – Being a Rhode Islander it's rare for me to go too far out of my comfort zone for a special night on the town. When friends recommended Parkside for my anniversary I was a little apprehensive but the experience was well worth the trip. The waitstaff are cordial w/ being overbearing and the menu has something for everybody. Definitely try the Rotisserie Chicken you won't be disappointed! All in all a very pleasurable trip and we'll certainly be back again.
Best restaurant in Providence – Located very close to downtown Parkside has a long history of good food and impeccable service. From management to the cooks and cleaning staff everything was well attended to and clean. Although no restaurant is perfect Parkside has a high standard of excellence. I highly recommend eating and enjoying the atmosphere of Parkside Rotisserie and Bar
WARNING-RAW CHICKEN SERVED HERE – Served raw chicken. Sent it back. The waiter apologized. That would not be a good enough response to food poisoning. I did not trust the kitchen enough to try anything else. The mashed were over the top seasoned. The valet that was to do the 'valet parking' was not available. Over priced and rated. The waiter was very nice but needs a better script in times of crisis.
love this place – I love the fact that the kitchen is exposed, you can see them cooking I have never had a bad meal there, food is fabulous. Great place to have drinks and desert at water fires.
Great afterwork bar; Order your food carefully – I've been to Parkside several time, mostly to meet friends after work for drinks. It has great atmosphere, decor, lighting, etc. Good wines by the glass and tasty beers on tap. It's a cozy place. This evening we decided to have dinner. On the plus side, the wait staff was attentive, friendly, and graciously accomodated our special requests. One of the group ordered a ravioli with pancetta and chicken that was delicious. I ordered a halibut special. The dish brought to the tabl... read more
Choking on Chicken – We went to Parkside on a Saturday evening and the place was packed. We waited a few minutes for our table, which didn't bother me since I was excited to find out why this place was so popular. It was a standing room only crowd. I ordered the roasted chicken thinking that that must be their specialty - rotisserie. The chicken was dry and tasteless. Roasting a chicken is cooking 101, and this chicken was over cooked and under seasoned. The three other people in my group would agree: the food was unexceptio... read more
Consistently Good – I love the Parkside. It has become our go-to restaurant in Providence. Both my husband and I love the ambiance (kind of fast-paced, upscale bistro) and the food is always consistent. It can get a little hot if you're seated near the open kitchen, but the filet mignon and rotissierie chicken are worth it. I wish the chef would change the menu up more frequently, but overall I always enjoy my visits.
First time – After being convinced by a co-worker who has been three times, we ended up at the Parkside. I don't think it's fair to say the service was poor, it was lacking, kind of strange. We arrived around 5:45, with a 6pm reservation, which at this time probably wasn't necessary, but I would recommend it because the place did get busier around 7. The place settings were not complete, a missing spoon, bread plate, etc. The food was very average, not worth the money. There's too many great restaurants in Providence for me ... read more
